The 3rd International Sustainable City Exhibition: A Turning Point for Government–Private Sector Cooperation
Ajorlou, Head of Kish International Convention Center: “The 3rd International Sustainable City Exhibition in Kish marks a turning point for cooperation between the government and the private sector.”
In an exclusive interview with Sustainable City Expo Media, the Head of the Kish International Convention Center emphasized the importance of the 3rd International Sustainable City Exhibition, describing it as a platform for the convergence of industries, municipalities, and emerging technologies—such as artificial intelligence—on the path toward realizing future cities.
Ajorlou highlighted that the primary role of international exhibitions is to present the latest achievements in relevant fields while bringing diverse sectors together. He stated: “In this exhibition, industry leaders and the private sector will gather alongside city managers, creating opportunities for cooperation, marketing, and contract agreements.”
Emphasizing that municipalities are in need of contractors, equipment, and infrastructure—while the private sector offers its best products and services—he added: “Such exhibitions also serve as platforms for sharing knowledge, exchanging technologies, comparing experiences, and fostering new collaborations.”
The Head of Kish International Convention Center further explained that the 3rd International Sustainable City Exhibition will feature joint gatherings between governmental bodies and private companies active in green technology, renewable energy, and smart transportation. He noted that Kish Island, due to its strategic position and history of hosting international events, provides the ideal setting for such an assembly.
Underscoring artificial intelligence as a key tool in addressing metropolitan challenges such as air pollution and traffic, Ajorlou remarked: “If we attempt to solve these issues solely through traditional methods and human resources, it would require significant cost and time. However, artificial intelligence can reduce expenses and improve decision-making efficiency through simulation, analysis, and error reduction.”
He also pointed to the importance of the digital twin model, which reconstructs a digital version of the city, enabling simulation of changes and forecasting of outcomes. This approach, he noted, helps urban managers make more precise decisions while minimizing errors.
In conclusion, the Head of Kish International Convention Center expressed his hope that the 3rd International Sustainable City Exhibition, to be held from October 13 to 16, 2025 (21–24 Mehr 1404) in Kish Island, will become a milestone for national and international cooperation in the field of sustainable development and future cities.
